What: Street Festival celebrating spring and neighborhood. Includes live music, fashion show, beer garden, children's activities, food trucks and approx. 50 art/craft/non-profit vendors. Expected attendance is 5,000.
When:Saturday, June 2, 2018, noon to 6 p.m. Applications are due by April 15, 2018, and you will be notified regarding acceptance status by April 30 at which time payment by check will be due within one week to reserve your spot. As payment is not due until acceptance, no refunds will be offered once payment is made.
Logistics: 10'x10' tent spaces for artists/businesses, and both tent and 6' table spaces for non-profits are available. HSMA provides SPACE ONLY. All tents MUST have 30 lb. weights firmly attached to each leg for a total of 120 lbs. If you do not have weights you will NOT be allowed to set up.
Cost: Non Profit: 6' table - $35 or 10'x10' - $75 Independent Business/Artist: 10'x10' - $125 Corporate/Multi-location Business: 6' table - $125 or 10'x10' - $250 Food Trucks: $150
Jury Process: Applicants will be chosen on the basis of originality and craftsmanship with the goal of having a well-rounded group. All items must be handmade and what you show us must be what you are selling. Absolutely NO resale, imported, or mass-produced items will be considered or allowed. Past participation doesn't guarantee future acceptance.
Tax Permits: All vendors must have tax permits. If you don't have a RI Permit, we can sell you a temporary permit for $10 the week prior to the event. The fee is then remitted to the state on your behalf.
RI Sales Tax is 7% and must be charged on all items except clothing UNLESS you have an Artistic Works Exemption, in which case handmade works are exempt from sales tax except food, soap, candles, and lotions. Food Trucks must provide: 1. Insurance Certificate; 2. Food License; 3. RI Sales Permit upon acceptance to the event.
