Everything a potential VENDOR could want to know about CRAFTOPIA.
What: CRAFTOPIA is a single day, juried event, featuring unique and original handmade art and craft hosting approx. 60 vendors.
Where: The main corridor of Hope Artiste Village (a beautifully restored mill bldg.), 1005 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
Logistics: Spaces are 8' wide x 6' deep and may not be shared. Space size is non-negotiable, vendors must stay within marked, allotted space or they will be asked to leave. Vendors must provide own table, chairs, and display. CRAFTOPIA provides space only.
There are limited half spaces available that are 4' wide for $85, and oversize spaces that are 12' wide for $250.
Cost: $185 per space (payable by check or PayPal upon acceptance).
Jury Process: Applicants will be chosen on the basis or originality and craftsmanship. All items must be handmade and what you show us must be what you are selling. Absolutely NO resale, imported, or mass-produced items will be considered or allowed. Selections will be based on our goal of creating a well-rounded show without an excess in any one category. Past participation doesn't guarantee future participation.
Next Event: Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, Applications are due by Aug. 15, 2018, and you will be notified by Sept. 01, 2018 at which time payment will be due within one week to reserve your spot. As payment is not due until acceptance, no refunds will be offered once payment is made.
Tax Permits:
Despite most art/craft items now being sales tax-free in RI, vendors must still have Tax Permits. If you don't have a RI Permit, we can sell you a temporary permit for $10 on the day of the show. The fee is then remitted to the state on your behalf. RI Sales Tax is 7% and must be charged on food, soap, candles, and lotions. Other handmade art and craft is exempt. Further instructions will be given upon acceptance.
Contact: All questions should be directed to craftopia@rhodycraft.com
Apply: Choose Vendor Application from menu and submit form along with 3 uploaded photos of your work. Please remember that high quality photos are essential for showcasing your work and please keep them to under 2MB each.
